Astrophotography

Astrophotography is photography of astronomical objects, celestial events, and areas of the night sky. It is a hobby for many amateur astronomers but is also a popular area for professional photographers who sell images or take clients on guided tours so they can snap their own image of the night sky.

A high number of clear nights throughout the year, along with the stability and transparency of the local atmosphere and its unique dark skies, means the Mackenzie Region is an ideal place for astrophotography
